HCMC, June 21st, 2022, Shire Oak International announced on June 21st that it successfully signed a Power Purchase Agreement with SML Vietnam to develop a rooftop solar system (RTS) with a capacity of 982 kWp.
This cooperation happened after a long period of discussion and delayed due to Covid-19.

Mr. Vincent Lam, General Manager of SML Group Limited shared that turning to renewable energy is something that his clients have always asked for. For example, one of his clients from PVH once raised a question about how sustainable SML energy source is. This made him think about different ways to do just that.

“It is sunny and hot in Vietnam. Why don’t we have a solar system?” the question dawned on his mind back in 2019.
Mr. Vincent considered having a rooftop solar system installed on their factories is an answer to his clients’ question and help reduce SML electricity bills.

According to my memory, the transition to renewable industry in China where I lived in the last 20 years started in 2010. Now, green energy and CO2 emission reduction is something all clients ask for.”
