The development of a 5 MW rooftop solar project has been initiated as Dong Khanh Textile and Garment JSC. signed a Development Agreement with Shire Oak International on the afternoon of October 1st, 2020 at the latter’s office in Ho Chi Minh city. The contracting representatives are Mr. Borries Plass, Chief Operating Officer of Shire Oak International (SOI), and Mr. Tăng Đông Quân, Vice Director of Dong Khanh.

Established in 2014, Dong Khanh Textile Joint Stock Company has more than 2,200 employees with a common goal of putting collective interests first and developing a strong, reputable brand across the country and many other markets.

As discussed, Shire Oak International will fund a solar project on the roof of Dong Khanh’s factory in the Tan Do industrial park in Long An province. Under the contract, all responsibilities for the design, supply of materials and equipment, construction, and installation of the rooftop solar system are taken care of by Shire Oak International. As the factory owner, Dong Khanh is not required to pay for any installation costs but only for monthly electricity charges based on the amount of electricity supplied by the system.

As a business that aims to be responsible to the society and the environment, Mr. Quân was pleased with this blossoming partner and certainly hoped that it wouldn’t be her last attempt to green her business.
