On June 16, 2020, in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of Shire Oak International Investment Fund (SOI) and Sai Gon – Binh Tay Beer Group Joint Stock Company (Sabibeco) signed a contract on principle of cooperation and development agreement. Installation of rooftop solar PV systems at Sabibeco’s factories.
At the meeting, the parties discussed and signed a principle agreement to cooperate in the installation of attic solar PV systems at Sabibeco’s chain of factories.
Accordingly, it is expected that SOI Fund will be the investor of the project and exploit the project within 20 years. The total estimated investment value is about VND 300 billion. DKNEC Automation Measurement Electrical Mechanical Co., Ltd will be the general contractor of construction and installation.
After signing the principle contract, SOI Fund and DKNEC will survey Sabibeco’s factories and make specific investment plans.
The Parties consider the terms of the contract.
According to the representative of Sabibeco, deploying the installation of rooftop solar PV at Sabibeco’s factories will help the company to save electricity usage costs, protect the roof of the plant better against environmental factors, reduce the temperature in the plant, as well as reduce CO2 emissions into the environment; thereby contributing to building a green image, environmentally friendly business, an important criterion in business today.
SOI Fund has many years of experience in rooftop solar power, has successfully developed many renewable energy projects in the world as well as in Vietnam, access to regional and global capital markets. With the goal of “green” investment, SOI Fund focuses on investing in rooftop solar power projects in factories and industrial parks. With financial investment from SOI, our country has had 4 rooftop solar power projects in grid-connected factories, 12 projects under construction and many other projects are being implemented.
