Eclat
Eclat Textile Co, Ltd. is a multinational headquartered in Taipei Taiwan, that specializes in developing, and designing activewear materials and apparel globally.
It was established by Cheng-Hai Hung and 3 members of staff in 1977 and has grown into a multi-award winning (domestic and international) company. It has appeared in the top 100 of the Nikkei’s Asia300 Power Performers numerous times, peaking in 2017 in 7th place.
In 2006 Eclat began garment production in Vietnam. In 2015 its fabric mill was converted wholly to natural gas, reducing CO2 emissions by 60%. In 2021 Eclat Fabrics (Vietnam) entered into a cooperation agreement with Shire Oak International to install a 1,207 kWp solar system on their factory roof. The system was completed in November 2021 and is expected to produce around 1,440.9 kilowatt-hours and reduce carbon emissions by 1,315.54 tonnes annually.
